The purpose of the study: to increase the effectiveness of diagnosis of chronic apical periodontitis in military personnel by determining the clinical and laboratory features of its course. When studying the clinical features of the course of CAH, it was found that the clinical symptoms of inflammation in servicemen with different forms of CAH in the same phase of the course of the disease: in a state of remission (fibrous, granulomatous, granulating) or in a state of exacerbation (acute serous periostitis, acute purulent periostitis, subperiosteal abscess). It was found that indicators of cellular immunity change depending on the phase of inflammation of HAC and are similar in different forms in the same phase of the course of the disease. Changes in the value of lysozyme in the oral fluid indicate that with a complicated course of CAH with clinical signs of acute periostitis (group I) on the day of hospitalization, the antibacterial activity of the oral fluid is reduced by 1.8 times compared to healthy military personnel. In military personnel without clinically expressed signs of acute or chronic inflammation (II group) on the day of hospitalization, the antibacterial activity of the oral fluid was pronounced - the value of lysozyme was 2.5 times higher than the control. The value of catalase in the I group for the entire period of observation was below control: on the 1st day of hospitalization by 1.5 times, on the 3rd–4th day by 1.1 times, on the 7th–8th day by 1, 3 times. On the 7th day with the cessation of therapy, the value of catalase decreased, remaining closer to the control than on the first day of treatment. The value of MDA in the 1st group decreased from 1.36 times (on the 1st day) to 1.1 times (on the 7–8th day). The data of the II group significantly exceeded the data of the I group (p < 0.05), and the difference with the control on the first day of hospitalization was 3.1 tim Product Description popup.authors Vesna Olena A.
