At the first stage of the formative experiment, based on methodical approaches to the introduction of pedagogical technology, the technology of forming career orientation in students in the conditions of the reform of the National Academy of Sciences was substantiated. At the second stage, preparations were made for conducting a formative experiment: the initial state of the system and the conditions under which the experiment is conducted were studied; detailed information was provided to the participants of the experiment about the procedure and conditions for its effective implementation. At the third stage, an experiment was carried out directly to check the effectiveness of the justified pedagogical technology, namely: the proposed system of measures was implemented for the formation of career orientation in students of general secondary education institutions in the conditions of NUSH (the optional course “Steps in Career Development” for students 9th-10th grades; content of educational activities for 8th-10th grade students; “Career in STEM professions”; training “Soft skills - the basis of professional competence”, an energizing method of helping students make a professional or professional choice; a series of webinars for high school students and teachers). The results of the formative experiment are summarized. In particular, it was determined that 24% of students in the experimental (EG) and 14% of students in the control (CG) groups are at a high level (an increase of 12% in EG and 2% in CG), the average level is 58% of students in EG and 44% of students in EG (an increase of 16% in EG and 2% in CG), and accordingly, 18% of students in EG are at a low level of formation of career orientation and 42% in CG (decrease of 18% in EG and 6% in CG).
