The purpose of the work is to study the genetic determinants of osteogenesis disorders in order to develop effective methods of treatment and prevention of complications of dental diseases. Research methods are molecular genetic, statistical. Scientific novelty. Potential genetic risk markers for the development of osteopenia and periodontitis in conditions of dental diseases were identified. It was established that single-nucleotide polymorphisms rs2073617 950C>T in the TNFRSF11B gene and rs6757845 G>A in the ZNF385B gene can be risk markers for the development of osteopenia, and the A-allele of rs6757845 is also a risk factor for periodontitis. It is important that the colonization of the oral cavity by the periodontopathogen P. gingivalis is associated with both osteopenia and periodontitis on its background, which emphasizes the role of this microorganism in the development of accompanying pathologies. In addition, polymorphisms rs865429 of the SOST gene, rs2277438 of the TNFSF11 gene, and rs41494349 of the LRP5 gene did not show significant associations with the risk of developing osteopenia and periodontitis, which requires further studies to clarify their minor effects. This study is the first to examine these genetic determinants in the context of dental disease risks, making it particularly relevant for the development of effective prevention and treatment strategies. 3 articles were published in professional journals.
