The purpose of the work at the first stage of the research is to determine promising hip joint endoprosthesis acetabular component designs and develop a finite-element model for studying the stress-strain state of elements of healthy hip joint under operational loads. Research methods are the finite element method and linear algebra methods. At the first stage of the research, a patent and bibliographic search was conducted for existing designs of hip joint endoprosthesis acetabular components and methods of their fixation in the “pelvic bone – endoprosthesis” system. An analysis of modern world trends in hip joint endoprosthesis was performed. Promising designs of hip joint endoprosthesis acetabular components were determined. A finite element model has been developed to study the stress-strain state of elements of a healthy hip joint under operational loads. The stress-strain state calculations of elements of a healthy hip joint at expluatation have been carried out. The results of the work obtained at this stage will be used in the future in the development of finite element models for studying the stress-strain state of elements of a hip joint with acetabulum defects and an endoprosthesis under operational loads. Applied scientific research work on the topic III-125-24 is the development of joint research on biomechanical systems carried out within the framework of agreements on scientific and technical cooperation № 321-7 dated 01.02.2014 and № 362-7 dated 10.12.2021 with the Dnipro State Medical University.
