Research objectives: 1) Analyze the state of development of the problem of education quality for young and preschool children in psychological and pedagogical science as well as in educational practice. 2) Clarify the essence and structure of the concepts "quality of education" and "quality of education for young and preschool children." 3) Explore the specific features of the quality assurance system in preschool education institutions of various types, substantiate and experimentally test them. 4) Develop a diagnostic toolkit for assessing the quality of education for young and preschool children based on a competency-based approach. 5) Implement the obtained research results into the professional activities of educators in preschool institutions and the training of future specialists in the field of preschool education. The idea of the scientific research lies in the premise that the internal quality assurance system in preschool education institutions will be effective under the following conditions: the creation of a digital educational environment in preschool institutions; a focus on the educational needs of learners; the professional activities of teaching staff within the institution; improvement of the management processes in preschool institutions. It is expected that the research results will be implemented into the system of quality assurance for education of young and preschool children in the context of their continuous development. This includes: a methodology for diagnosing the quality of education for young and preschool children; a diagnostic toolkit for assessing the quality of education for young and preschool children based on a competency-based approach.
