Semantic and grammatical aspects of functioning of different multilevel linguistic units of the Ukrainian language in scientific and linguodidactic paradigms are the scope of the study. The following fundamental scientific methods: observation, analysis, synthesis, juxtaposition, comparison; linguistic methods: descriptive, integrative analysis, contextual linguistic-stylistic analysis, component analysis, distributional; cognitive linguistics methods: semantic-associative field method, labeling artistic space method etc. are used in the research. The study analyzes the structural-semantic and grammatical aspects of Ukrainian language multilevel linguistic units functioning in the scientific and linguodidactic dimensions. It is proved that in the analyzed texts of Ukrainian writers there are multilvel means of expression that diversify writers’ idiolects which become aggregated expressive-imaginative marking means of their linguistic creativity. It is determined that all contextually and lexicographically expressive and emotionally marked lexemes and phrases are stylistically marked ones, although they gradually differentiate among themselves by the step of proximity to stylistically neutral units, quantitative composition, ways and means of word creation, image creation, productivity of usage, functions. Nounal, adjectival, adverbal and verbal emotively and expressively marked lexemes or author’s occasionalisms and contextual expressions indicate authors’ sense of language in the selection of the ways of Ukrainian language development. In the aspect of Ukrainian linguodidactics, an investigation was carried out concerning contents, forms, principles, methods and means of teaching Ukrainian language both as mother tongue/state language and as a foreign language.
