Among them: informatization of education, open education, multimedia, data protection, technological neutrality, universal design. It is established that the development of the competence of teachers of vocational education institutions in the use of digital technologies is key to the training of skilled workers in the engineering industry. Digital tools, such as simulations and virtual laboratories, allow teachers to integrate theory and practice, improving the level of student training in accordance with the requirements of Industry 4.0. To do this, teachers must constantly improve their skills by mastering innovative educational technologies. A conceptual model of a digital platform has been developed that includes theoretical materials, interactive exercises, simulations, progress monitoring, automated testing, feedback, forums, a network of mentors, and access to vacancies. The structure of teacher competence has been clarified, including digital literacy, pedagogical competence in digital technologies, sectoral competence, continuous professional development, and promotion of digital citizenship. The concept of “competence of a VET teacher in the use of digital technologies” has been improved. The classification of digital technologies in five areas is developed: computer simulation, virtual and augmented reality, interactive platforms, Internet of Things, artificial intelligence. The author proposes an algorithm for developing a digital platform that includes needs analysis, design, feature development, technology integration, testing, and launch.
