Given that motivation to learn is currently one of the most important problems of organizing the educational process in middle and high school, the implementation of the content of informatics education was based on the idea of using modern, relevant, progressive educational content and studying the latest information technologies. Based on the results of the experimental work and guided by our own many years of experience, we have identified priority goals for teaching informatics in grades 7-9. One of the priority tasks of implementing the content of informatics education in a gymnasium is to “form the ability to learn”. That is why the developed informatics curriculum and textbook include sections and topics aimed at familiarizing students with educational software, the possibilities of using artificial intelligence systems, virtual laboratories, massive open online courses and other digital didactic teaching tools in educational activities. It has been proved that the use of forms and methods of presenting educational material based on the consolidation of didactic units ensures the transition from studying software as a specific tool to mastering general methods of activity common to a certain class of tasks and objectives. The formation of appropriate skills in students makes it possible to independently master new software tools and technologies. It is concluded that the use of the proposed content of informatics education in grades 7-9 broadens students' worldview, promotes the formation of IT competence, and creates a foundation for their own research.  Product Description popup.authors Derkach Anna S.
