The object of the study is the psychological component of the design, development and analysis of educational literature. The goal is to determine the system of psychological requirements for the content and form of modern educational literature for various forms of organization of school education (face-to-face, distance, mixed, etc.) and to substantiate the ways of methodically implementing these requirements in the textbook. Results of the reporting stage. At the theoretical level: the methodological coordinates of the study were determined, the psychological discourse of educational materials in the education system was analyzed, taking into account modern formats of educational literature (on paper and electronic media) in the context of the development of students in general secondary education institutions, theoretical and methodological approaches to ensuring work with different formats of bulk books by expert psychologists were determined. At the practical level: a methodology for psychological support for the creation and analysis of different formats of educational literature was proposed, taking into account the mental development of students; the risks and resource potential of educational literature were determined depending on the format of its presentation (on printed or electronic media); professionally important qualities of a psychologist-expert of educational literature were outlined.
