popup.description1
Development of materials, technologies and corresponding devices for their implementation for water disinfection and obtaining highly pure broad-purpose solutions of active chlorine using polymers with immobilized N-chlorosulfonamide groups.
popup.description2
The project is dedicated to the study of the prospects for the use of previously developed styrene-divinylbenzene polymers with immobilized N-halogensulfonamide groups for use in compact systems for water purification and obtaining multifunctional halogen-active antiseptic solutions. For this purpose, the following main tasks were performed: optimization of synthesis methods for the corresponding polymers, especially in granular form; study of the emission of active halogen from polymers into taurine solutions to obtain multifunctional antimicrobial solutions of N-halogentaurines; study of the chemical properties and antimicrobial activity of the obtained materials and solutions, including against multiresistant microorganisms; study of the antimicrobial activity of granular polymers against model contaminated water in a accumulative cells and in flow systems. It has been proven that the studied polymers have appropriate physicochemical and mechanical characteristics, exhibit powerful antimicrobial properties and can be used as compact and stable sources of active chlorine/bromine. The developed methods for express disinfection of water and obtaining highly pure antimicrobial solutions with concomitant positive pharmacological effects are suitable for use by non-professionals and can be implemented, including in field conditions.
