Ways have been developed to improve rehabilitation measures for people with severe hearing impairments after implantable hearing aids, predict their effectiveness, and assess disorders in the auditory, vestibular, and central nervous systems. During the research period, 176 children aged 6 to 17 years and 129 adults diagnosed with chronic bilateral sensorineural deafness who underwent cochlear implantation were examined. In the examination of children with five or more years of experience using a cochlear implant system, data were obtained indicating a certain discrepancy in the effectiveness of auditory and speech rehabilitation. Audiometry in a free sound field, results obtained from registering auditory brainstem responses (ABRs), and the deaf-pedagogical assistance of auditory development showed that auditory function in such patients was better developed than speech. The proposed Ukrainian versions of the MAIS and MUSS questionnaires, CAP, and SIR demonstrated high levels of internal consistency, test-retest reliability, and validity, allowing for the assessment of rehabilitation status in children after cochlear implantation. Electrocochelography conducted in children (intraoperative and postoperative EcoG) allows for an objective evaluation of the functional state of the cochlea structures and the auditory nerve. Using deaf-pedagogical testing testing and electrophysiological examinations of adult patients with deafness who underwent cochlear implantation, we assessed the level of rehabilitation of these patients and identified characteristics that need to be considered for quality selection of patients eligible for cochlear implantation funded by the state to achieve high rehabilitation outcomes.
