The paper highlights the problem of individual adaptation to crisis situations, including war, pandemics and socio-economic instability, which require a high level of self-regulation, stress resistance and communication competence. The aim of the study is аnalysis and identification of psychological features of general and special abilities of an individual in the context of personal potential development, as well as search for ways and methods of developing abilities as a factor in the realization of personal potential of an individual. During this stage, scientific events were organised, including the First International Conference ‘Rehabilitation: Physical, Psychological, Social’ and the VII Psychological Forum ‘Psychological Resilience of the Personality in the Modern World’. More than 15 publications were issued, including in B journals, educational programmes were updated, and disciplines aimed at developing creative abilities were added, such as ‘Psychology of Creativity. Art therapy’. The scientific novelty of the work lies in an integrated approach to the study of the development of personality through the prism of global challenges. In particular, the Ukrainian experience of overcoming crisis situations during the war is summarised. The research hypotheses confirm the importance of emotional regulation, creativity, social support and self-reflection in ensuring personal resilience. The results of the stage show that the development of personal abilities is important for creating a resilient society. The abilities to adapt, teamwork, rapid learning and post-traumatic growth help to overcome life challenges.
