The goal of the project was to create a concept for assessing and managing the ecological functions of introduced tree species in urban ecosystems to optimize their ecosystem services in urban green infrastructure. The conducted comprehensive studies allowed us to identify the features of the state, adaptations, and ecological functions of introduced tree species in urban ecosystems and to track the existing transformations of ecosystem services occurring with introduced stands at the molecular, organismal, population, species, and ecosystem levels. Structurally, the studies were divided into field, laboratory, and statistical; which included analysis and synthesis as the main methods of scientific knowledge. At the same time, the studies covered various types of introduced dendroflora, various types of urban ecosystems in the steppe zone of Ukraine as a whole, and were based on facts and scientifically substantiated conclusions, both our own and those obtained by world science. The data obtained allowed us to design an assessment methodology and develop a concept for managing transformations of the ecological functions of introduced dendroflora.
