popup.description1
The goal of the project is to increase the effectiveness of the armed forces of the Armed Forces by building an ontological knowledge base of thermal targets, which will serve to identify enemy targets by means of machine learning, improve the capabilities of high-precision weapon guidance systems and automated surveillance systems with thermal imaging channels for target detection and tracking.
popup.description2
During the project implementation, an ontological knowledge base of thermal portraits of military objects was developed, enabling automated identification and classification of targets based on their thermal characteristics. The use of deep learning methods, particularly convolutional neural networks (CNN) and YOLO, has ensured high accuracy in recognizing military equipment even under challenging conditions such as fog, smoke, or nighttime. The proposed algorithms enable real-time processing of video streams, making them highly effective for use in reconnaissance systems, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and precision-guided weaponry. The integration of multisensor data from thermal imaging, optical, and radar systems has significantly improved the reliability of object identification and reduced false detections. The obtained results can be applied to enhance military information systems, border control operations, counter-terrorism efforts, and the monitoring of strategic facilities. Additionally, the developed methods have potential applications in civilian fields, including search and rescue operations, environmental monitoring, and infrastructure security. Future research will focus on refining recognition algorithms and adapting these technologies to a broader range of defense and security challenges.
