In the work on model animals, the effect of medicinal plants on the intensity of body weight gain, biochemical and morphological indicators of blood, the relative weight of internal organs and their morphofunctional state, behavioral activity, intestinal microbiota was investigated, with the aim of correcting an unbalanced diet. It has been established that certain medicinal plants, added to an unbalanced diet, are capable of slowing down the rate of body weight gain, influencing metabolic processes (improving lipid metabolism), and changing the qualitative and quantitative composition of the intestinal microbiota. Medicinal plants are proposed, which are promising for use in the correction of metabolic processes and the composition of intestinal microbiota with an excessive fat diet.
