This has become extremely relevant for Ukraine, which is confronting the russian aggressors. Within the framework of the implementation of the National Democratic Republic, the Jewish community of Hlukhiv as an object of cultural heritage of Ukraine. On the basis of the analysis of scientific sources, the approximate time of its emergence was determined, the most important events in the life of the city and the Jews who inhabited it were studied. The approximate time and circumstances of the emergence of the Hlukhiv Jewish cemetery have been established. The religious ideas of Jews about death and the afterlife are characterized, and an idea about the role of the cemetery in the Jewish community is drawn up. Some of the most significant personalities from among the Jews of Hlukhiv were identified, which made it possible to determine the value of their tombstones at the Hlukhiv Jewish cemetery as objects of historical and cultural heritage. As a result of the field work, the lifting and cleaning of fallen or completely submerged gravestones was carried out, and their photofixation, decoding, and systematization of the epitaphs were carried out. Thus, several previously unknown burials were discovered and epitaphs were deciphered. The analysis of the symbolism of the tombstones made it possible to conclude that the tombstones of the Hlukhiv Jewish cemetery are marked by artistic value and are monuments of monumental art. In the course of implementing the scientific work, the website was developed and filled with materials in Ukrainian, English, and Hebrew, which will contribute to the popularization of the Hlukhiv cemetery as a phenomenon of Jewish culture. A database of digitized images of tombstones, burial information, and tombstone information has also been created, which, if integrated into the created website, will enable information search, data analysis and visualization.
