popup.description1
The goal of the project is to carry out a complex of works on the design and creation of materials with a low (~1-2%) reflection coefficient in the infrared region of the spectrum
popup.description2
The first stage of the project includes a set of measurements for the design, installation, and construction of a laboratory for the electrochemical synthesis of anodized aluminum oxide (AAO) membranes with different pore diameters and their different spatial morphology. Such a laboratory is the unique entity for Ukraine, so its creation is a complex scientific and technological issue. The scientific part of the first stage of the project includes methods for structural characterization of nanoscale crystals using X-ray diffraction, micro-Raman studies, as well as electron microscopy and high-resolution electron microscopy. Experimental structural methods for studying the newly synthesized compound are combined with theoretical symmetry analysis of Raman spectra and first-principles calculations of lattice dynamics. The use of micro-Raman spectroscopy allows us to analyze the structure of a newly synthesized compounds on the scale of ~800 nm, which is of particular importance when analyzing the structure of a composite compound that contains substances of two or more types. In addition, the use of micro-Raman mapping of the composite surface makes it possible to study the distribution of substances of different structural and chemical compositions on the composite surface. The application of micro-Raman mapping to a freshly broken sample facilitates the study of the spatial distribution of compounds that constitute the composite material. From a pragmatic standpoint, it is imperative to implement nonlinear optical methods, such as second harmonic generation, in newly created composite materials. The "host" porous matrix of the composite material provides the mechanical stiffness of the composite, and the medium that imparts the useful nonlinear optical properties is a set of nanocrystals embedded into the pores of the rigid porous matrix. This configuration facilitates the fabrication of nonlinear optical materials that exhibit isotropic properties.
