Zabolotny National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine popup.description1 Based on the obtained metabolic profiles of bacteria of the genera Bacillus and Pseudomonas to determine the functional role of their metabolites popup.description2   It has been established that the quantitative and qualitative composition of metabolites of Bacillus bacteria significantly depends on the culture medium. Thus, when aerobic spore-forming microorganisms are grown on sugar-containing media, the main VOCs are butanediol and acetoin, and branched-chain fatty acids on peptone-containing media. It was found that the expression level of the gene encoding the synthesis of exogenous phytase in B. velezensis 20F and Bacillus sp.41 strains was 3-5 times higher than in the control strain. Thus, the manifestation of high exogenous phosphate-mobilising (phytase type) and antagonistic (lipopeptide antibiotic synthesis) activity of B. velezensis 20F and Bacillus sp.41 strains was confirmed, which can be recommended as a basis for biological products for plant production. It was found that the process of development of P. synxantha UCM B-399 under conditions of deep cultivation on rolling pin takes approximately 65-68 h, after which the culture enters the phase of dying. The active growth of the strain stops after 39-40 h with the transition of P. synxantha UKM B-399 to the stationary phase. It was also noted that at the end of the strain cultivation process, the colour of the culture fluid changed to yellow-orange, which may be associated with the synthesis of phenazine derivatives, including their oxidised forms, in particular oxyphenazines. It was found that P. aeruginosa strain UKM B-3 was characterised by more intensive biofilm formation during all periods of observation compared to P. aeruginosa strain UKM B-10. This indicates the presence of strain specificity of biofilm formation and the need to compare the results with the control values. Thus, the methodology for studying biofilm formation of Pseudomonas aeruginosa on 96-well plates was standardised. Product Description popup.authors Balko Oleksandr B. Balko Olha I.
