The intensification of globalization processes and the gradual liberalization of foreign trade open up prospects for domestic enterprises to access highly competitive global markets for goods and services, and also create the prerequisites for foreign producers to enter domestic markets. Therefore, the development and justification of strategic directions for the innovative development of economic agents, taking into account their resource potential and the characteristics of economic activity, is becoming increasingly relevant. Maintaining stable competitive positions of enterprises requires economically justified redistribution of producers' resources in the direction of reducing the cost of products, ensuring their compliance with international quality and safety standards, and increasing business efficiency on an innovative basis. Given the need to adapt to rapidly changing external challenges, the justification of the system of strategic directions for the formation of innovative development of economic agents must meet the criteria of innovativeness, lowest risk, and maximum efficiency. Only in this way is it possible to increase competitive potential, update the technical and technological base, minimize risks, ensure access to investment resources and high profitability of business agents. The purpose of the research work is to substantiate and deepen the theoretical and methodological foundations and develop practical recommendations for improving the organizational and economic tools of strategic directions of innovative development of economic agents. The object of the study is the process of developing and implementing strategic directions for the innovative development of economic agents. The subject of the study is a set of theoretical, methodological and scientific and applied aspects of the development and implementation of strategic directions for the innovative development of economic agents.
