The current state of the theory of asynchronous circuits and asynchronous logic is analyzed. The
advantages and disadvantages of asynchronous logic, the features of their circuit implementation
are determined.
The communication protocols of asynchronous logic are analyzed: request-acknowledge with two-
phase and four-phase signaling.
The pipeline of asynchronous circuits and the basic control elements XOR, Muller-C, Select, Toggle,
Decision-Wait, Arbiter, Call, Capture Pass Luch are considered.
The features of the implementation of asynchronous circuit communication using Verilog language
macros are investigated.
The synthesis of an asynchronous circuit is considered using the Muller-C element as an example.
