The purpose of the work – is to develop recommendations that are applicable to determining the dynamic impact of a heavy vehicle on the road surface of roads and bridges and are aimed at developing scientifically based proposals to increase the durability of transport structures by reducing the dynamic impact on the road surface, depending on the degree of deformation and destruction, as well as the speed of movement of the heavy vehicle. Research methods – analytical method; mathematical modeling methods; expert method; experimental method; calculation method. Implementation – during the planning of repairs and operational maintenance of roads and bridges by specialists of organizations regardless of ownership and can be used by design engineers, specialists in technical maintenance and monitoring of the condition of transport facilities, as well as experts in the field of road construction and infrastructure. The movement of a vehicle on a road with surface defects is accompanied by dynamic loads acting in contact between its elastic tires and the road, which are transmitted to the steering system and the vehicle suspension. This leads to both a deterioration in the performance of the vehicle and a reduction in its service life, as well as to the destruction of road structures, in particular bridges.
