In the context of systematic disinformation by the Russian authorities about the past of the Ukrainian people, the ethnic genesis of Ukrainians, as well as the denial of the modern reality of the existence of the Ukrainian ethnos and the Ukrainian nation, it has become urgent to scientifically understand the accumulated historical facts and the latest data from related sciences, to present and disseminate knowledge about the ethnic genesis of the Ukrainian and Crimean Tatar peoples in a popular scientific form for a wide range of readers. The object of the study is the ethnic genesis of the Ukrainian people. The subject of the study is the systematization and conceptualization of the problem of the ethnogenesis of the Ukrainian people in modern scientific and social discourse. The main goal of the work is a comprehensive conceptual solution to the problem of the ethnogenesis of the Ukrainian people in the system of a holistic synthetic Ukrainian paradigm.
Research tasks: to assess the current state of scientific development of the topic; to supplement, expand the thematic source base; to substantiate new methodological approaches to solving the problem; to carry out scientific verification of the main concepts of the ethnogenesis of the Ukrainian people; to analyze the presentations of knowledge about the origin of Ukrainians in the modern educational and popularization paradigm; to develop a hypothesis of the substrate influences of foreign ethnic communities on the formation of the Ukrainian ethnos; to draw up maps of the archaeological attribution of the ancestors of the Slavs and Slavism in the Dnieper basin from the 7th century BC to the 7th century AD; to substantiate the stages of the formation of the spiritual foundations of the Ukrainian ethnos; to systematize the terms that ensure scientific knowledge of the ethnogenesis of the Ukrainian people and the preservation of knowledge about these processes.
