The study of professional methods (methods of music education, methods of teaching vocals, choral conducting, methods of working with school creative teams, methods of work in specialized educational institutions) will ensure the readiness of students for educational work in schools of different types. popup.description2 The report presents the results of a collective research project focused on the issue of professional and pedagogical training of future music teachers in the context of the competency-based approach and contemporary educational transformations. The study identifies and substantiates the key theoretical and practical foundations of such training, which is considered as a holistic and highly developed level of professional competencies of higher education students, optimized in accordance with their personal qualities and abilities. The research establishes that the effective preparation of music teachers must take into account the principles of the New Ukrainian School Concept as well as current trends in pedagogical science and practice. The content and technological support for the professional education of future teachers of the arts—specifically music education—within the educational-professional program Secondary Education (Music Art) at both the first (bachelor’s) and second (master’s) levels of higher education is substantiated. This program is implemented through educational components in the key areas of training: methodological, vocal-choral, instrumental, and music-theoretical. The study also updates the didactic approaches to the formation of basic competencies and develops new elective educational components that contribute to the individualization of students’ educational trajectories, the development of their creative potential, the integration of artistic knowledge, and the application of innovative technologies in music pedagogy. The object of the research is defined as the process of teaching professional disciplines to higher education students. The subject of the research concerns the content, methods, and forms of professional and pedagogical training of future music teachers.
