The purpose of the work is to analyze typical designs of rotating mechanisms of direction finding antennas; to perform calculations and engineering analysis of the rotating mechanism units, to design the design of the rotating mechanism for direction finding antennas; to develop an automatic control system; to develop assembly drawings for the preparation of technological documentation. Research methods – application of equilibrium conditions and modeling of the motion of real physical objects modeled in various forms; transformation of force systems into others equivalent to them; methods of determining the kinematic characteristics of bodies and their individual points (analytical and graphical); methods of studying the motion of real physical objects when finding the kinematic laws of motion by integrating differential equations under known initial conditions; solid-state modeling using the Solidworks software product, differential calculus. Results and their novelty – a prototype of a high-precision rotary mechanism was developed. An analysis of the design of the direction finding antenna and the requirements for direction finding accuracy, design of the antenna rotary mechanism, calculations for accuracy and strength were performed. A stepper motor was selected. A control board was developed, assembly drawings of the rotary mechanism are given in the appendices. Implementation – the design was carried out in accordance with the order of the PVKF “Bdzhilka”, which is confirmed by the corresponding implementation act. Relationship with other works – the work is a continuation of the state budget topic No. DR 0122U001211 “Development of a broadband direction finding system for determining the location of UAVs of military and non-military purposes”.
