The object of research is the process of forming foreign language communicative competence among students at the first (bachelor’s) level of higher education in economic specialties.
The subject of research is the methodology of using project technologies as a means of influencing the formation of foreign language communicative competence in students at the first (bachelor’s) level of higher education in economic specialties.
The purpose of research is to develop and experimentally verify a methodology for intensive English language teaching for students at the bachelor’s level of higher education in economic specialties, based on project technologies aimed at forming foreign language communicative competence.
Research methods: theoretical (analysis, synthesis, generalization, systematization, modeling); empirical (pedagogical observation, conversations, questionnaires, testing, analysis of the products of creative activity of applicants); prognostic (expert assessments, ranking, modeling); observational (observation, self-assessment) to identify the level of forming foreign language communicative competence; pedagogical experiment to identify the effectiveness of programmatic and content-based and educational-methodical support of a scientifically based system to form foreign language communicative competence.
It is justified that the modern format of foreign language instruction should focus on the effective use of innovative pedagogical technologies that promote the formation of key competencies and ensure the practical orientation of the educational process. A methodological system for developing a high level of foreign language communicative competence in future economists through the targeted application of project technologies has been designed.
