The DeepTech Prototyping Laboratory innovation space has been created. The operation of the laboratory will make it possible to scale up the technological process from laboratory to industrial conditions, refine and validate technologies, optimize the production process, develop methods for process control and product quality assessment, and produce pilot batches of the product required for its validation and certification in the fields of biotechnology, medical technologies, innovative food technologies, and alternative energy. A full cycle of interdisciplinary research and pilot-industrial testing has been implemented, aimed at the development, optimization, validation, and adaptation of an enzymatic purification methodology for plant fats for their subsequent use as high-quality feedstock in the synthesis of innovative functional materials—specifically amides and esters of fatty acids, as well as polyurethane-type biopolymers. The methodology for the synthesis of functionalized derivatives of salicylaldehyde via O-alkylation of the phenolic fragment using allyl and propargyl bromides as alkylating agents has been developed and successfully scaled up.
