popup.description1
The goal of the project is to develop and implement the physical, chemical and technological bases of obtaining new gas-sensitive hybrid thin-film active media for reversible optical gas sensors with improved operational parameters and to form on their basis more perfect than existing sensor systems for monitoring of harmful substances, safety of technological processes, raw materials, food products, environmental monitoring
popup.description2
The aim of the project is to develop and implement the physical, chemical and technological foundations for obtaining new gas-sensitive materials for reversible optical gas sensors and to create portable detectors for rapid detection of toxic substances on this basis. As a result of the project, the physicochemical conditions for formation were established and samples of sensor films sensitive to the action of gases were manufactured, based on conjugated polymers and their composites with oxide nanocrystal particles. To enhance the sensory sensitivity of polyaminoarenes to the action of toxic gases, it was first proposed to dope sensor films with titanium dioxide and graphene oxide nanoparticles simultaneously with chemical deposition, which led to an increase in sensitivity.
A method for manufacturing a sensitive element based on hybrid polymer-semiconductor nanostructures for detecting the presence of toxic gases of both organic and inorganic nature in territories contaminated as a result of military operations, as well as for visual express control of the presence of toxic substances, has been patented. Ways have been proposed to increase the sensitivity and selectivity of optical gas sensors by improving the methods of forming sensor structures, isolating and processing a useful signal at a selected wavelength, developing a design for a sensitive element, and proposing a method for restoring its characteristics. A prototype of an optical gas detector based on a polyaniline sensor element was manufactured. The presence of ammonia vapors was analyzed online using gas-stimulated changes in optical absorption at different wavelengths, namely, 470 ± 5, 528 ± 7 and 623 ± 5 nm. The high recovery rate to the initial values (up to 10 s) ensures the reversibility of the sensor and opens up prospects for practical use.
