Title
Peculiarities of functional activity of ribosomal protein S6 (S6K1) kinase isoforms and molecular mechanisms of its regulation in normal and pathology
popup.stage_title

popup.description1
Determination and characterization of features of functional activity and molecular mechanisms of its regulation of known isoforms of ribosomal protein kinase S6K1 - p55, p60, p70, p85 in normal and malignant transformation of cells.
popup.description2
A collection of human prostate and breast tumor samples was created. A collection of total RNA and cDNA tumor samples was created. An analysis of expression and correlation between the expression of different S6K1 isoforms and pathomorphological characteristics of breast tumors was performed, including with an emphasis on invasiveness, metastatic potential of tumors, molecular subtypes, primarily the triple negative (TNT) molecular subtype. - The level of proliferation, migration, survival, the effect of specific mTOR/S6K inhibitors, and the efficiency of colony formation in semi-liquid agar of stable cell lines obtained from MCF-7 breast cancer cells with edited expression of S6K1 isoforms were studied. The existence of S6K1 CoAlation under different physiological conditions and under the induction of oxidative stress was studied on NEC model cells with an increased level of CoA expression.
