Makarenko popup.description1 Тo explore content and procedural peculiarities of English teacher training. popup.description2 The relevance of the study is determined by the need to modernize the system of professional training for future English language teachers in accordance with European standards, particularly the competence-based approach, the integration of soft skills and digital literacy, as well as the demands of intercultural communication. Teacher training is viewed as a process that integrates cognitive, cultural, communicative and educational components and contributes to the development of leadership competences. Dynamic changes in teaching methodology and the practical needs of modern schools, intensified by the conditions of martial law, highlight the necessity of rethinking both the content and organizational forms of the educational process. The purpose of the study is to theoretically substantiate the organizational and methodological system of training future English language teachers, aimed at optimizing content components and procedural characteristics (methods, forms and learning technologies) in light of current pedagogical challenges. The research tasks analyze the state of the problem in Ukrainian and international pedagogical theory and practice; identify the content-related features of training, especially the need to strengthen practical orientation, interdisciplinary integration and critical thinking; implement the activity-based approach through project work, simulation exercises, the Moodle platform, blended learning and AI tools. The central idea of the research lies in the shift from a traditional knowledge-oriented model to a competence- and activity-based one. The hypothesis assumes that the effectiveness of training increases when the content is updated according to international standards, supplemented by practice-oriented learning , and enhanced by active use of ICT and digital didactics. The results confirm that such a system ensures a high level of professional culture, communicative competence and readiness for intercultural interaction. Product Description popup.authors Inna L.
