The agro-industrial complex of the Western Forest-Steppe zone is a multi-branch formation, in the structure of which specialized complexes of the livestock sector (meat, dairy, poultry) have been formed, which requires the provision of high-quality feed, in particular green mass and corn silage. In conditions of sufficient moisture in the studied soil-climatic zone, when growing corn for silage, it is recommended to use hybrids of the mid-ripening (FAO 299–399) and late-ripening (FAO 399–499) groups. Depending on the biological characteristics and the reaction of the hybrid to the feeding conditions, the yield of green mass and its quality may be different, which requires the selection of the most productive ones from among them.
