Therefore, prevention methods that minimize the use of chemicals, such as alternative biological products or improved procedures for treating cows' udders before and after milking, deserve special attention. Modern research on improving mastitis prevention is aimed at developing innovative methods for mastitis prevention, including: the use of biotechnological tools (probiotics, phage therapy, phytotherapy); improving early stage diagnostic systems (e.g. electronic sensors for measuring milk conductivity); breeding programs to increase cows' resistance to mastitis; use of the latest sanitary and hygienic products for udder and milking equipment.
