popup.description1
Enhancing the effectiveness of decision-making for ensuring the biosecurity of the population in emergencies through the development of intelligent information technologies for assessing changes in the epidemic situation caused by emergencies.
popup.description2
The project is an interdisciplinary study that combines scientific results obtained by specialists in the fields of biosafety, artificial intelligence systems and tools, mathematical modeling, epidemiology, information technologies, and public health. The project aims to enhance the effectiveness of management decision-making in ensuring the biosafety of the population during emergency conditions by developing intelligent information technologies for assessing changes in the epidemiological situation caused by emergencies. The project envisages retrospective and real-time epidemiological analysis of infectious morbidity in the context of changes in the dynamics and manifestations of epidemic processes caused by Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine; the development of machine learning and deep learning models to assess the impact of emergencies on the dynamics of infectious morbidity; the development of methods for assessing excess mortality from infectious diseases; the development of an intelligent information decision-support system for use in emergencies; the development of methods for assessing changes in the basic and effective reproductive number of infectious diseases; the creation of a bank of models of the dynamics and manifestations of epidemic processes of infectious diseases and methods for analyzing changes; and the study of the adequacy of these models and methods using real infectious morbidity data from Ukraine and from countries that have received the largest numbers of forcibly displaced persons. The implementation of the research results will enable the improvement of management decision-making effectiveness, ensuring the biosafety of the population, and the development of scientifically grounded strategies for preventive measures.
