The theoretical and methodological foundations of organizational and economic development of tourist and recreational territories in the context of European integration are explored. The essence of tourist and recreational territories as complex socio-ecological-economic systems is clarified, and their key characteristics and classification approaches are systematized. European concepts of sustainable and balanced tourism development are analyzed, and their core principles and implementation instruments at the territorial level are identified. Methodological approaches to organizational and economic support of tourism development are generalized, including institutional, systemic, cluster-based, network, and stakeholder approaches. The obtained results provide a methodological basis for designing tourism development strategies at regional and local levels and can be applied in harmonizing national tourism policy with European sustainable development standards.
