The purpose of the work is to develop the basis of extruded feed using secondary products of oil and fat production (sunflower and soybean meal) and oat groats. The chemical and amino acid composition of the raw material was determined. The dependence of the porosity of the extruded mass on the ratio of components was established by the method of mathematical modeling. A rational formulation of the feed base was substantiated: sunflower meal - 0.40; soybean meal - 0.25; oat groats - 0.35 wt. particles, which provides 31.1% protein and porosity of 72%. The effect of modifying additives (wheat bran and chicken fat) on structural and mechanical properties (water resistance, swelling) was studied. The obtained regression models allowed us to determine the optimal content of additives: 6% bran and 4% fat. Comparative analysis with a commercial analogue confirmed the competitiveness of the developed feed in terms of technological indicators at a significantly lower cost.
