The purpose of the work is to introduce EN 13479 as a national standard necessary for manufacturers and consumers of welding materials in Ukraine to determine and establish European requirements for the safe manufacture and use of welding materials in the manufacture and operation of welded structures, by certifying welding materials for compliance with the requirements of regulatory documentation and / or requirements. Research methods are analytical. Results and their novelty – a harmonized national standard on general requirements for welding materials and fluxes (with an identical degree of compliance with the European regulatory document EN 13479:2017) using the translation method The purpose of the work – the development is due to the need to develop national standards that are identical to the relevant harmonized European standards, in order to create conditions for attracting foreign investments to rebuild damaged infrastructure and support European integration processes. Information on implementation – the developed draft national standard will contribute to the development and improvement of the regulatory and technical framework in construction, ensuring that the domestic regulatory framework is brought into line with the requirements of the terms of Ukraine’s association with the EU, stimulating domestic manufacturers to produce and use construction products of European/international level and, as a result, increase its competitiveness (Ukraine-EU Agreement).
