The development is due to the need to develop national standards that are identical to the relevant harmonized European standards, in order to create conditions for attracting foreign investment to rebuild damaged infrastructure and support European integration processes (Article 56 of the Association Agreement between Ukraine, on the one hand, and the European Union, the European Atomic Energy Community and their Member States), implement the provisions of Article 17 of the Law of Ukraine "On the Making of Construction Products on the Market", which implements EU Regulation 305/2011, and prepare Ukraine for signing the ACAA Agreement (in terms of construction products), as provided for in Articles 56 and 57 and Annex III of the Association Agreement between Ukraine, on the one hand, and the European Union, the European Atomic Energy Community and their Member States.

The object of development is a national standard developed by the translation method with an identical degree of compliance with the European regulatory document EN 13479:2017.
The purpose of the work is to introduce EN 13479 as a national standard necessary for manufacturers and consumers of welding materials in Ukraine to determine and establish European requirements for the safe manufacture and use of welding materials in the manufacture and operation of welded structures, by certifying welding materials for compliance with the requirements of regulatory documentation and / or requirements.
Research methods are analytical.
Results and their novelty – a harmonized national standard on general requirements for welding materials and fluxes (with an identical degree of compliance with the European regulatory document EN 13479:2017) using the translation method
The purpose of the work – the development is due to the need to develop national standards that are identical to the relevant harmonized European standards, in order to create conditions for attracting foreign investments to rebuild damaged infrastructure and support European integration processes.
Information on implementation – the developed draft national standard will contribute to the development and improvement of the regulatory and technical framework in construction, ensuring that the domestic regulatory framework is brought into line with the requirements of the terms of Ukraine’s association with the EU, stimulating domestic manufacturers to produce and use construction products of European/international level and, as a result, increase its competitiveness (Ukraine-EU Agreement).
Recommendations for the use of the results of the work - the developed standard will be introduced into the economy of Ukraine through use in relevant industries, which will stimulate domestic manufacturers to produce world-class products and thereby increase its competitiveness
