During the project implementation, the regularities of formation, aggregation, separation, and dewatering of disperse systems with a polydisperse solid phase were established, and rational technological operating regimes were substantiated in order to reduce environmental impact and ensure further utilization of the resulting sludges. An analysis of the environmental hazard of industrial wastewater, sludges, and sediments from water treatment facilities was carried out, and their impact on components of the natural environment was assessed. The influence of physicochemical, dispersive, and structural-rheological characteristics of wastewater and sludges on the efficiency of their separation and dewatering processes was investigated. Effective approaches to intensifying industrial wastewater treatment and the separation of polydisperse systems through flocculation and coagulation of suspended particles were identified. The regularities of dewatering of the formed aggregates in sedimentation centrifuges were studied, and optimal types of reagents and centrifugation regimes were determined, ensuring an increased degree of solid phase removal and a reduced moisture content of the sludge. Based on the experimental studies, scientifically substantiated approaches to the development of low-waste and resource-efficient technologies for industrial wastewater treatment and the utilization of polydisperse sludges and sediments were formulated, contributing to improved environmental safety of industrial enterprises and compliance with the principles of sustainable development.
