popup.description1
Development of new materials for biomedical and veterinary use based on supramolecular systems of the host-guest, rotaxane and pseudorotaxane types, as well as other topologies using cucurbiturils, cyclodextrins and their modified analogues as receptors.
popup.description2
The project is aimed at meeting the needs of the diagnostic technology market and addressing urgent veterinary issues related to low bioavailability and rapid release of the active substance. The project entails the development and investigation of new supramolecular systems based on biologically active substances and fluorescent compounds, with improved operational characteristics compared to existing analogues. This will enhance the sensitivity and reliability of biomedical research using fluorescence methods and improve the bioavailability, ensuring prolonged release of the active substance in veterinary medicines. Within the project framework, a new infrastructure unit will be established at the SSI "Institute for Single Crystals" of the NASU in the form of a multidisciplinary scientific group, represented by researchers from two scientific departments – the Department of Organic and Bioorganic Chemistry and the B.M. Krasovitskiy Department of Luminescent Materials and Dyes. To develop the infrastructure unit, equipment procurement and installation will be carried out, along with the creation of a center for collective use, contributing to the further advancement of supramolecular chemistry in Ukraine. Additionally, activities will be undertaken to promote the project and inform the scientific community about the availability of new equipment. Thus, the implementation of the project will contribute to the development of supramolecular chemistry in Ukraine and will increase our country’s potential in the field of advanced materials for biomedical and veterinary applications.
