The possibility of spinning flax fibers for creating environmentally friendly mixed yarn with the addition of chemical and natural fibers for the purpose of manufacturing knitted products has been proven. Based on the developed mathematical models, the regularities of changes in the physicomechanical and hygroscopic properties of the yarn have been substantiated and the optimal content of mixed yarn with flax fibers has been determined by adding polyester, polyacrylonitrile, polyamide, wool and cotton fibers to it. Based on the conducted experimental studies, the possibility of obtaining a new environmentally friendly mixed yarn with improved performance properties has been proven. A methodology for assessing the competitiveness of mixed yarn based on flax fibers with the addition of natural and chemical components for knitted products has been proposed, which allows evaluating this product both in the domestic and foreign markets.
