popup.description1
Development of efficient methods for the synthesis of bis(benzoazacrown ethers) with long flexible linking chains and molecular clips containing two molecules of p-tert-butylcalix[4]arene derivatives attached to a molecules of diaza(dibenzo)crown ethers by different spacers groups. Determination of the extraction and complexing ability of the obtained compounds toward metal cations of s-, d- and f-elements and some multifunctional organic substrates.
popup.description2
The object of the research – Synthesis of molecular clips based on starting p-tert-butylcalix[4]arenes and diaminodibenzocrown ethers and bis(benzoazacrown ethers) with long, flexible chains containing, along with methylene and polyoxyethylene groups, fragments of pyrocatechin, resorcinol, or hydroquinone. Study of the complexing properties of the obtained compounds with metal cations of different groups.
The purpose of the work – Development of approaches to the synthesis of bis(benzoazacrown ethers) with long, flexible chains. Synthesis of new molecular clips containing two molecules of p-tert-butylcalix[4]arene derivatives attached to a molecule of diaminodibenzocrown ethers via amide groups. Study of the complexing properties of the synthesized compounds towards metal ions.
Molecular clips based on diaminodibenzocrown ethers and calixarenes have been synthesized. It is shown that for molecular clips with cis-diaminodibenzo-15-crown-5 fragments for 1:1 complexes, a very high selectivity of interaction with potassium and rubidium cations (5 orders of logarithmic units) is observed relative to sodium and cesium ions. At the same time, an extremely stable complex of composition 1:2 (lgK21 7.47) is formed with the sodium ion, which indicates the fixation of sodium cations in both the crown ether and calixarene parts of the molecule. The molecular clip based on trans-dibenzo-15-crown-5 selectively interacts with the potassium ion with a slightly smaller stability constant of the complex.
The interaction of aza-15-crown-5 and benzoaza-15-crown-5 with the corresponding diglycidyl ethers in boiling anhydrous ethanol for 8-10 h yielded bis(crown ethers) in which the crown ether cycles are linked by long, flexible chains containing fragments of pyrocatechin, hydroquinone, or resorcinol. It has been shown that with alkali and alkaline earth metal cations, these compounds most likely form complexes involving only one crown ether cycle (lariat complexes).
