The structure and content of students’ practical training were analyzed, and its key role in forming professional competencies, skills in organizing the educational process, health-enhancing activities, and sports-pedagogical work was identified. The study examined the level of students’ awareness of the regulatory documents of the New Ukrainian School, the content of health-enhancing activities, and the initiatives of the “Leagues of Active Students of Healthy Ukraine.” Survey results revealed students’ need to deepen their knowledge and practical skills required to meet modern educational demands, which confirms the relevance of the developed and implemented elective course “Physical Education in the New Ukrainian School.” An analysis of the effectiveness of the practice-oriented approach was carried out, emphasizing the use of case methods, master classes, project-based activities, and role-play simulations. Surveyed teachers noted that these methods significantly improve the quality of training for future teachers and coaches, strengthen the connection between theory and real professional practice, and contribute to sustainable professional motivation. Special attention was paid to the use of digital tools and gamified platforms such as Kahoot and Quizizz as means to enhance student motivation, engagement, and the quality of learning. The study demonstrated that the integration of modern educational technologies is an essential condition for the development of professional competence among higher education students in the field of physical education and sport.
