In conclusion, the project aims to estimate the volumes and prospects of obtaining biofuel based on B. carinata oil in Ukraine, based on the data obtained during the implementation of the project. popup.description2 Within the framework of the II stage of the project, a comparative analysis of the efficiency of lipase-catalyzed transesterification of Brassica carinata oil was carried out using a number of commercial lipases of different origin. Lipases obtained from representatives of the genera Candida, Thermomyces, Rhizomucor and other microorganisms, which are widely used in industrial biotechnological processes, were studied. Significant differences in catalytic activity, substrate specificity and optimal reaction conditions for different lipases were established. Based on experimental data, lipases with the highest efficiency of converting triglycerides of B. carinata oil into ethyl esters of fatty acids were identified. Key transesterification parameters, in particular reaction duration, temperature and catalysis conditions, were optimized, which ensured a high and stable yield of biodiesel. The obtained results confirm the feasibility of using the enzymatic approach as an environmentally safe alternative to chemical methods. Based on data on the productivity of the studied B. carinata genotypes and the efficiency of lipase-mediated transesterification, the potential for biofuel production in Ukraine was assessed. It was shown that B. carinata is a promising crop for the formation of a renewable raw material base for bioenergy and increasing the energy independence of the state.
