popup.description1
On the basis of establishing the peculiarities of the processes of structure formation and phase transformations, develop technological solutions for obtaining high-strength thick-rolled products of responsible purpose from low-alloy steel.
popup.description2
An analysis of current global and domestic approaches to the production of high-strength thick-sheet rolled steel was performed, modern requirements for the complex of properties of such sheets were determined, and the feasibility of forming a structure of highly dispersed carbide-free bainite and homogeneous tempering sorbite was substantiated. Promising chemical compositions of steels were developed, ensuring the formation of the target structure in combination with rational heat treatment, as well as achieving high mechanical properties in thick sections. Rational modes of introducing alloying elements into the melt were established, which allows obtaining liquid steel of stable chemical composition while simultaneously reducing the negative impact of non-metallic inclusions. Ingots of experimental chemical composition were manufactured in laboratory conditions and their comprehensive study was conducted in the cast, hot-formed, and heat-treated state. The regularities of the influence of the chemical composition and structural state on the service and operational (corrosion resistance, resistance to impact and abrasive wear) properties of steels intended for thick sheet rolling have been established. Critical temperatures and regularities of the kinetics of austenite decomposition at different cooling rates, which ensure the formation of specified structures, have been established. A finite element calculation model of the temperature distribution across the sheet cross-section during heat treatment has been developed and the influence of changes in the chemical composition and heat treatment parameters on the conditions of phase transformations and mechanical properties of the rolled product has been investigated. Based on the results of the work, recommendations have been formulated regarding the parameters of strengthening heat treatment with separate and rolling heating, which ensure controlled austenite decomposition in a given range of cooling rates and a
