Analysis of the designs showed that the mowers of the main manufacturers have a modular design. Cutting bars up to 2.1 - 3.4 m long are formed on the basis of the cutting module. Further increase in the width of the grip involves the use of two - three cutting bars. A standard size range of block-modular semi-mounted rotary mowers based on rotary drum mowers has been formed. Technical specifications for the design of a semi-mounted rotary drum block-modular mower and the main drawings for its manufacture have been developed. Drawings for the manufacture of a semi-mounted rotary mower have been finalized and transferred to experimental production. A prototype of a block-modular mower for mowing grass based on two blocks has been developed and manufactured. The mowing block of the rotary drum mower KRB - 1.65 has been taken as the basis.
