The theoretical foundations of professionally oriented language teaching as a component of professional training under the conditions of European integration processes, digitalization of the educational space and transformation of educational models are generalized. The role of European languages, Ukrainian for professional purposes and Ukrainian as a foreign language in the formation of linguistic, professional, intercultural and digital competences is specified. It has been established that modern linguodidactics focuses on functional-cognitive and communicative-activity approaches, within which language is regarded as a means of acquiring specialized knowledge, developing professional thinking, and preparing higher education students for real professional communication. The didactic conditions for integrating language and professional training are considered, including systematic terminology work, interdisciplinary projects, modelling of professional communicative situations and the use of authentic materials. Special attention is paid to the impact of digital transformation of education on the organization of professionally oriented European language learning. The possibilities of distance and blended learning formats, online technologies, virtual educational platforms and digital resources are generalized. The didactic potential of artificial intelligence tools for learning personalization, automated assessment and the development of autonomous learning skills is analyzed.
