popup.description1
Development and creation of 3D-printed composite scintillation samples with controlled light scattering based on polymer matrices and scintillation granules, study of their optical and scintillation characteristics.
popup.description2
The possibility of obtaining composite scintillation media based on plastics with varying volumetric contents of single-crystal organic scintillation grains was demonstrated. It was found that a heating furnace is preferable for melting polystyrene grains, preventing water vapor from entering the melt and causing uncontrolled changes in the media’s transparency. Furthermore, the combination of polystyrene and p-terphenyl allows for the formation of a sublimation phase of p-terphenyl at the phase boundary, creating an additional coating capable of controllably influencing the transparency of the composite sample. Technological aspects of the obtaining and study of composite scintillation media with controlled optical and scintillation characteristics for the creation of filaments intended for FDM 3D printing have been developed. Technological aspects of conducting preliminary measurements of the optical characteristics of the obtained composite compounds have been developed. Preliminary studies of their optical and scintillation characteristics have been conducted. Based on the obtained composite scintillation media, it is possible to create filaments intended for FDM 3D printing.
