The object of the study is the financial system of Ukraine as a complex institutional structure that ensures sustainable economic growth. The subject of the study is the economic and organizational mechanisms of the functioning of the financial system in ensuring sustainable economic growth of Ukraine. The purpose of the work is the theoretical justification and practical analysis of the functioning of the financial system as a factor of sustainable economic growth of Ukraine, as well as the development of recommendations for improving its institutional structure and regulatory mechanisms. The objectives of the study: to identify the priorities for the development of state and local finances in the context of ensuring sustainable development of the state; to investigate the mechanisms for the formation and use of financial resources for the implementation of key functions of the state; to analyze the possibilities of expanding the fiscal space for the implementation of the social function of the state; to develop methodological approaches to improving the system of budget planning, execution and monitoring; to substantiate the institutional and legal mechanisms for controlling public finances in the context of the formation of civil society; to investigate the impact of budget decentralization on the financial capacity of territorial communities; to carry out a comprehensive analysis of the financial condition of households in the context of modern global challenges.
