During the reporting stage, experimental investigations were carried out using electron microscopy, which confirmed the formation of a fine-dispersed matrix with a uniform distribution of strengthening phases. This microstructural state ensures high wear resistance and crack resistance of the coatings. The technological regimes of electric arc surfacing with flux-cored (powder-filled) electrodes were optimized for the deposition of strengthening layers on flat, internal, and external surfaces of steel components. The process is implemented using a specially developed modular CNC-based system that operates with 3D photogrammetric models of worn parts and incorporates an automated real-time parameter adjustment system. Studies of the influence of surfacing parameters on coating properties made it possible to establish optimal conditions for achieving high adhesion strength and resistance to thermal effects. This approach enables the restoration of up to 75% of worn components while requiring only 40–60% of the cost of manufacturing new parts. Product Description popup.authors Andrii V.
