The key result of the study was the justification and practical testing of the author's methodological system for training specialists in the specialty 014.05 "Secondary Education (Biology and Human Health)", which ensures their readiness for professional activity in the innovative educational environment of the New Ukrainian School (Burchak L. V., Kyrienko O. O., Megem O. M.). In the course of scientific research, the structure of the professional competence of a biology teacher was conceptualised (Burchak L. V.), which, in addition to fundamental subject training, covers digital, environmental, psychological-pedagogical and research sub-competences. At the final stage, particular attention was focused on the implementation of interactive teaching technologies in the educational process of higher education institutions (Burchak L. V., Mishchenko S. V., Megem O. M., Kyrienko O. O.). A significant indicator of the effectiveness and scientific depth of the work carried out was the completion and successful testing of L. V. Burchak's dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences on the topic "Theoretical and methodological foundations of the formation of innovative competence of future biology teachers in the process of professional training." The high level of scientific reliability and international recognition of the results obtained is confirmed by the representation of the main provisions of the research in professional monographs and a series of articles indexed in the international scientometric databases Scopus and Web of Science (Mishchenko S.
