The main national interests of Ukraine are integration into the European political, economic, security, legal space, acquisition of membership in the European Union and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. Prior to the accelerated passage of Ukraine's accession talks to NATO, the preparation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine should be carried out according to clear priorities and tasks of Euro-Atlantic integration, which are necessary to ensure their effective and planned implementation, and should also contain specific indicators in assessing the success of their implementation.
In the realities of the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, increasing the defense capability of its Armed Forces is an urgent task for the country. The main attention should be focused on strengthening the capabilities of the security and defense sector of Ukraine and the development of relevant management, planning and control systems. The priority area for increasing Ukraine's defense capability is to improve and modernize the legal regime regulating military property: ownership, use, storage, exercise of control and responsibility.
